Safety, Visas & Passports

SAFETY
Oman has been consistently voted in the top 20 safest countries in the World for a number of years now and the Omani hospitality is legendary. Widely regarded as the Switzerland of the Middle East his Majesty Sultan Qaboos has inspired and led the Country to an incredibly peaceful culture.
Although Oman has a low crime rate, as elsewhere, you are expected to follow some basic safety rules and to conduct yourself in a respectful and discreet manner at all times.

Safety of our guests is paramount given the isolated location of our operation. Skippers, Staff are all trained in emergency response and we run strict maintenance schedules for all our boats & vehicles.

Even though Oman is undoubtedly the safest country in the Gulf, we nonetheless advise you, as in any other journey, to take out repatriation insurance. This is extremely useful in the event of a health problem, unforeseen incidents such as stings, or any other type of emergency. Hospital costs can quickly add up and private insurance really is worthwhile.

VISA
There are three ways to obtain a visa: you can apply to the Embassy of Oman, you can order it via https://evisa.rop.gov.om or you can get it when you arrive at the airport in Oman.
We would advise you to choose the third option: the airport is small, which means that formalities are dealt with very quickly

PASSPORT
Both a passport and a visa are obligatory for nationals of the European Union. Please note that passports must be valid at least 6 months after the scheduled date of return.
